Deli Chef - Shoreview
About The Position
Kowalski Companies is a family-owned civic business focused on sustainability and providing excellent customer service. The Deli Chef maintains the hot foods case, pasta bar, burrito bar, wing bar, and rotisserie chickens. The role follows company procedures for food preparation, handling, sanitation, freshness, and quality. Deli Chefs manage their time to prepare for lunch and dinner rushes and communicate with coworkers to keep deli areas freshly stocked and food options available to customers. Strict health and safety guidelines must be followed to prevent accidents, injuries, and illnesses. Food service experience is helpful but not required; training is provided. The position is based at Shoreview Market & Wine Shop in Shoreview, Minnesota. Deli hours are 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have evening availability; shifts include 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Must have year-round availability.
- Must be flexible to schedule up to 30 hours per week.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Ensure food quality and safety.
- Comfortable speaking with customers in an energetic and helpful manner.
- Ability to work independently.
- Interest in preparing, handling, and cooking food.
- Interest in product knowledge.
- Understand the ability to positively impact customers and coworkers.
- Food service experience is helpful but not required; training is provided.
