About The Position

Military Deli & Bakery Services is hiring a part-time Deli Bakery Associate at its NAS Lemoore commissary in Lemoore, California. The role serves military personnel and their families by providing enthusiastic customer service and supporting deli and bakery operations. The position offers up to 29 hours per week, with mid-to-closing shifts; the deli closes at 8 p.m. Availability to work both Saturday and Sunday is required for consideration. This is not a government job.

The associate slices deli meats and cheeses to customers’ requests, prepares party trays and sandwiches, stocks and organizes displays, and helps with shipments. The role also includes maintaining sanitation and safe food handling and preparation. Depending on department needs, duties may include cake decorating, baking, rotisserie chicken preparation, and other deli or bakery tasks. Associates work with the team and assist other team members as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Willingness to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed.
• Effective and friendly communication skills.
• Basic math knowledge and ability to follow written guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodation.
• Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift.
• Ability to work in freezers for up to 20 minutes at a time.
• Must be available to work both Saturday and Sunday shifts to be considered.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
• Team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide enthusiastic customer service and contribute to positive communication and teamwork.
• Slice deli meats and cheeses according to customer requests.
