About The Position

Military Deli & Bakery Services is hiring a part-time Deli Bakery Associate at Peterson SFB in Colorado. The associate serves military personnel and their families at a commissary, providing customer service and supporting deli and bakery operations. The role involves mid-to-closing shifts and requires weekend availability. The posted store hours are Sunday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM and Monday through Saturday 8:00 AM–7:00 PM. This is not a government job, and everyone is welcome to apply.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Willingness to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed.
Effective and friendly communication skills.
Basic math knowledge and ability to follow written guidelines.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodation.
Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift.
Ability to tolerate working in freezers for up to 20 minutes at a time.
Must be available to work weekends.

Nice To Haves

Grocery, food service, or retail experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide enthusiastic customer service and contribute to teamwork through positive communication.
Assist other team members as needed.
Slice deli meats and cheeses to customers’ requests.
Prepare custom party trays and sandwiches.
Stock and organize displays, including assisting with shipments as needed.
Maintain department and equipment sanitation and follow proper food handling and preparation practices.
Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
Perform other deli or bakery tasks as needed, which may include cake decorating, baking, and rotisserie chicken preparation.
