About The Position
Military Deli & Bakery Services is hiring a part-time Deli Bakery Associate at its Fort Lee commissary location. The associate serves military personnel and their families by providing customer service, preparing deli and bakery products, maintaining displays, and supporting a clean and safe department. This is not a government job. The listed schedule provides operating hours for each day of the week, but does not specify the associate’s individual shift. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Willingness to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed.
- Effective and friendly communication skills.
- Basic math knowledge and ability to follow written guidelines.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodation.
- Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift.
- Ability to tolerate working in freezers for up to 20 minutes at a time.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
- Team-player attitude.
- Some weekend shifts are required.

Responsibilities
- Provide enthusiastic customer service and contribute to teamwork through positive communication.
- Assist other team members as needed.
- Slice deli meats and cheeses according to customer requests.
- Prepare custom party trays and make sandwiches.
- Stock and organize displays, including assisting with shipments as needed.
- Maintain proper department and equipment sanitation and follow proper food handling and preparation practices.
- Perform other deli or bakery tasks as needed, including cake decorating, baking, or rotisserie chicken preparation.
