About The Position

Military Deli & Bakery Services is hiring a part-time Deli Bakery Associate at its Nellis AFB commissary location. The role serves military personnel and their families by providing customer service and supporting deli and bakery operations. The associate maintains a welcoming, team-oriented atmosphere; prepares deli items and custom orders; keeps displays stocked and organized; and ensures sanitation and proper food handling. Additional duties may include cake decorating, baking, and rotisserie chicken preparation.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Willingness to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed.
• Effective and friendly communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math and ability to follow written guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodation.
• Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift.
• Ability to tolerate working in freezers for up to 20 minutes at a time.
• Ability to work as a team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide enthusiastic customer service and communicate positively with team members.
• Assist other team members as needed.
• Slice deli meats and cheeses according to customer requests.
• Prepare custom party trays and sandwiches.
• Stock and organize displays and help with shipments as needed.
• Maintain proper sanitation of the department and equipment, and follow proper food handling and preparation practices.
• Perform other deli or bakery tasks as needed, including cake decorating, baking, or rotisserie chicken preparation.
