Deli Bakery Associate- Part time
About The Position
Military Deli & Bakery Services is hiring a part-time Deli Bakery Associate at its Mountain Home AFB commissary. The role serves military personnel and their families and focuses on enthusiastic customer service, teamwork, and food preparation. Associates may work across deli and bakery tasks, including slicing deli meats and cheeses, preparing party trays and sandwiches, stocking displays, assisting with shipments, maintaining sanitation and safe food handling, and performing other tasks such as cake decorating, baking, or preparing rotisserie chickens as needed. The position requires working in a fast-paced environment and handling stressful situations.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Willingness to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed.
- Effective and friendly communication skills.
- Basic math knowledge and ability to follow written guidelines.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodation.
- Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift.
- Ability to work in freezers for up to 20 minutes at a time.
- Ability to work as a team player.

Responsibilities
- Provide enthusiastic customer service and communicate positively with team members.
- Assist other team members as needed.
- Slice deli meats and cheeses according to customer requests.
- Prepare custom party trays and sandwiches.
- Stock and organize displays and help with shipments as needed.
- Maintain department and equipment sanitation and follow proper food handling and preparation practices.
- Perform other deli or bakery tasks as needed, including cake decorating, baking, or rotisserie chicken preparation.
