About The Position

The Deli Attendant sells, prepares, cooks, and stocks deli food items while providing exceptional guest service. The position includes operating a cash register and handling cash accurately, preparing food according to menu directions and customer requests, and maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly deli and seating area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Obtain a Washington State Food Handler's card within two weeks of employment.
• Ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to menu directions and customer requests, working efficiently and promptly.
• Sell food products and miscellaneous store merchandise.
• Operate the cash register, charge correct prices, and give correct change.
• Handle customer complaints tactfully and refer issues to the manager when necessary.
• Maintain food displays in a sanitary and appetizing manner to maximize sales.
• Keep the store and deli area neat and clean; sweep and mop as needed.
• Stock products as needed.
• Bus tables and clean the dining room as needed.
• Provide exceptional guest service at all times.
