About The Position

The Deli Attendant / Barista provides friendly, efficient customer service while preparing and serving drinks, baked goods, and other food items. The role includes educating customers about products and services, maintaining consistent product quality, following company recipes and procedures, processing sales, and keeping the deli area clean and stocked. The position pays $17.24 per hour plus tips and offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus, paid in two installments, subject to good-standing requirements.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent experience.
Must be flexible to work any schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience as a server preferred.
Prior money-handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Educate customers about products and services.
Maintain high and consistent product quality standards.
Follow company drink recipes and procedures.
Prepare blended and cold drinks offered by the store.
Greet customers promptly and warmly, personalize service, and build rapport by learning customers’ names and preferences.
Receive and repeat customer orders in a friendly manner.
Report customer complaints to the F&B Director, Supervisor, or Manager on Duty.
Respond proactively to prevent customer-service issues.
Accurately enter sales into the cash register and courteously count back change.
Answer the telephone courteously, provide the store greeting and directions, and receive and fill customer orders.
Answer customer questions about coffee blends, preparation, and product freshness.
Sell and serve baked goods and other food items.
Maintain efficient and friendly service.
Restock shelves as needed.
Routinely clean the deli area, floors, and equipment, and take out trash.
Report potential safety hazards and employee accidents to the manager on duty.
