About The Position

The Debone Technician performs all Debone production work on a rotating basis, including positions along the production line. The role supports team coordination and Simmons operating systems, including quality, security, office environment, company policies, and LEAN. The position description may include other duties as needed to support business objectives.

Requirements

• Ability to work in an environment as cold as 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Ability to stand and move about for 8–10 hours per day.
• Ability to perform job duties involving reaching, standing, moving about, and/or lifting.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements and physical activities including bending, twisting, grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Use required personal protective equipment, including waterproof footwear, gloves, an apron, hearing protection, hair nets, and other equipment as needed or required.

Nice To Haves

• Preference for experience in a poultry or food processing organization.
• Military experience is valued; veterans are welcome to join the team.

Responsibilities

• Perform all positions on the Debone line.
• Rotate among duties as needed, including cutting breasts and wings, pulling skin, using a saw, loading product, and tray packing.
• Participate in team development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies.
• Coordinate work with team members to support best practices and attend appropriate team meetings.
• Help maintain team cohesiveness, identify and raise issues to the team leader, and work supportively with the team to resolve them.
• Remain familiar with Simmons operating systems and the position’s role in supporting them; communicate concerns and improvement ideas.
• Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
