About The Position

The Learning Experience is seeking a passionate child care teacher to join its team of early childhood educators. The role is open to all age groups and involves leading, coaching, and mentoring co-teachers while managing a classroom and creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. The teacher uses a growth mindset to support children’s development and love of learning, and implements the proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum® with infants, toddlers, and/or preschool children according to each child’s needs. The position also involves communicating with parents about children’s experiences and achievements, building relationships with families and coworkers, and partnering with center staff and leadership to support enrollment and engagement goals.

Pay is $17–$18.50 per hour. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• At least six months of professional teaching experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
• Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role.

Nice To Haves

• One year of professional teaching experience preferred.
• Associate degree or higher in early childhood education (ECE) or a related degree preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor co-teachers in the classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Manage the classroom and lead a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
• Serve as a role model, using a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning.
• Implement the proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum® with infants, toddlers, and/or preschool children in ways consistent with each child’s unique needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Communicate regularly with parents about children’s adventures and achievements through mobile apps and personal discussions.
• Partner with center staff and leadership to support goals around enrollment and engagement.
• Build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.
