About The Position
A to Z Building Blocks is hiring a caring, dependable Classroom Floater for its American Fork location. The role supports different classrooms throughout the day, primarily serving infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, and may involve children through school age. Classroom assignments and hours may vary throughout the week based on center needs. The schedule is flexible, approximately 20–38 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with shifts scheduled between 6:00 AM and 6:30 PM. Weekends are not required. Starting pay is $14.00 per hour, with room for growth.
Requirements
- Be flexible, dependable, and enjoy working with different age groups.
- Be a positive team player who is willing to help wherever needed.
- Be patient and caring, and comfortable working with infants and young children.
- Be willing to complete required child care training and certifications.
- Pass a background check.
Nice To Haves
- Previous daycare, child care, preschool, nannying, or teaching experience.
Responsibilities
- Help in different classrooms based on daily staffing needs.
- Care for and supervise children from infants through school age.
- Support teachers with learning activities, playtime, meals, naps, and daily routines.
- Assist with diapering, potty training, and classroom transitions.
- Maintain safe, clean, and welcoming classrooms.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
