About The Position

We are seeking enthusiastic direct support providers to help our participants have the "best day ever." At our Day Training program, we teach, explore, and ensure every individual has a fulfilling day. As a Day Training DSP, you are an educator and a motivator. You will jump into the action to ensure our participants are engaged, safe, and learning the skills they need to lead independent, social, and joyful lives.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 18+ (21+ preferred).
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Must be able to keep up with an active group, including lifting, walking, and being on your feet.
• A positive attitude and the willingness to accept constructive feedback for professional growth.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with challenging behaviors, direct care, or SCL/Michelle P. Waiver services is a big plus!

Responsibilities

• Use your creativity to teach social skills, budgeting, personal care, and safety through engaging activities.
• Provide transportation and support for community outings, volunteer opportunities, and local exploration.
• Maintain a watchful eye on health and welfare, assisting with personal care (feeding, toileting) and providing emotional support or de-escalation when necessary.
• Maintain quick and accurate records of progress and hours worked, ensuring compliance with SCL and Michelle P. Waiver regulations.
• Assist in planning creative activities so that participants are always learning and never bored.
