About The Position

Brightway Living & Learning is hiring a full-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) for its Adult Day Services program. The DSP supports individuals with disabilities in daily life by assisting with daily living activities, fostering independence, promoting well-being, and helping individuals connect with their communities. The role involves building meaningful relationships and making a tangible difference in the lives of those supported. The position requires a valid New York State driver's license held for at least 18 months, a clean driving history, and successful completion of Brightway’s Transportation Orientation. New hires who do not meet these criteria will be offered a lower starting rate of $19.00 per hour. The listed hourly rate is $21.00–$23.10.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Provide individualized support with personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and community outings.
Help individuals develop life skills, make choices, and foster their independence.
Support participation in community activities to promote social inclusion.
Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating empathy and patience.
Collaborate with DSPs, supervisors, and families.
