Direct Support Professional (Dsp) - Adult Day Services
About The Position
Brightway Living & Learning is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for its Adult Day Services program. The DSP supports adults with disabilities in daily life by assisting with personal care and other daily living activities, encouraging independence and well-being, and helping individuals connect with their communities. The role involves building meaningful relationships and working collaboratively with DSPs, supervisors, and families. The position is full-time, hourly, and scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The stated pay range is $21.00–$23.10 per hour. A valid New York State driver's license held for at least 18 months, a clean driving history, and successful completion of Brightway’s Transportation Orientation are required for the stated rate. New hires who do not meet these criteria will be offered a lower starting rate of $19.00 per hour. Brightway Living & Learning is a nonprofit human services provider on Long Island, building on a 65-year legacy as the Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI). It supports more than 1,600 children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities through educational, residential, day habilitation, and vocational programs.
Requirements
- Valid New York State driver's license held for at least 18 months.

Responsibilities
