About The Position

Brightway Living & Learning is hiring a part-time, hourly Direct Support Professional for its Adult Day Services program. The role supports adults with disabilities in daily life by assisting with daily living activities, fostering independence, promoting well-being, and helping individuals connect with their communities. The position is listed at $21.00–$23.10 per hour. New hires who do not meet the stated driving and transportation-orientation criteria will be offered a lower starting rate of $19.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the position is not benefits eligible. Requirements

A valid New York State driver's license held for at least 18 months, a clean driving history, and successful completion of Brightway’s Transportation Orientation are required to qualify for the listed $21.00–$23.10 hourly rate.

Responsibilities

Provide individualized support with personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and community outings.
Help individuals develop life skills, make choices, and build independence.
Support participation in community activities and promote social inclusion.
Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating empathy and patience.
Collaborate with DSPs, supervisors, and families.
