Day Supervisor
About The Position
The Day Supervisor oversees day-to-day cleaning operations and quality programs for assigned accounts or groups of sites. The role requires experience in cleaning and/or janitorial work and familiarity with safety requirements, equipment use, scheduling, and training. Duties may vary depending on the service environment; some roles involve janitorial tasks requiring specific training, while others may be in GMP spaces and/or data centers requiring additional or specialized training and techniques. The position is based at Glaukos Corporation in Aliso Viejo, California. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The role is full-time, with an hourly pay range of $24.00 to $25.00.
Requirements
- Become familiar with cleaning chemical components and safety requirements.
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Write simple correspondence.
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Learn and understand the Scope of Work and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- High school diploma or GED, or one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Spend on-the-job time standing, walking, lifting/climbing, talking/hearing, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reaching with hands or arms.
- Lift or exert force up to 40 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing subordinate employees’ work.
- Evaluate and verify employee performance by reviewing completed work assignments and techniques.
- Identify staff development and training needs and ensure that training is obtained.
- Ensure proper labor relations and conditions of employment are maintained.
- Maintain records, prepare reports, and compose correspondence related to the work.
- Perform other duties as defined by the supervisor.
