About The Position

Nakupuna Services is hiring multiple Database Sustainment Specialists (DSS) to support DMLSS-FM databases at Military Treatment Facilities throughout the continental United States. Each specialist works on-site at a designated facility and may travel to remote locations supported by that facility’s DMLSS servers. Telework is not authorized. New specialists receive comprehensive DMLSS classroom training designated by the DMLSS Training Manager and must complete applicable web-based and government-provided DCO training, including BUILDER. The DSS supports government facility-management personnel by maintaining DMLSS-FM data and modules, including facility and room inventories, facility systems and real-property-installed-equipment records, requirements, projects, drawings, regulatory compliance records, work requests, preventive maintenance information where applicable, and other system functions. Work is performed using government-provided information and in coordination with Facility Managers or designees, DHA personnel, MTF staff, system administrators, and other stakeholders. Records and data are subject to review and approval by the Facility Manager or designee. The role also supports facility space utilization, regulatory compliance and Joint Commission activities, work-management processes, user support and training, and continuous DMLSS-FM implementation. The specialist submits monthly assessment and other required reports and travels as needed to complete room inventories. Operations and maintenance tasks described in the posting apply only when the O&M contractor is not providing those services; the DSS does not manage certain DMLSS modules that overlap with the task order’s O&M requirements unless directed by DHA. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain and maintain a favorable NACI (Tier 1) investigation and a Common Access Card (CAC), and must comply with installation access and security requirements. The work involves extended computer use, repetitive hand and finger movements, short-distance walking within medical facilities, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds in a low-noise healthcare-facility office.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI), Tier 1 investigation.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and comply with installation access and security requirements.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer, perform repetitive hand and finger movements, walk short distances within medical facilities, occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, and maintain focus on detailed data-entry and system-review tasks.
  • Ability to work in a low-noise office environment within a healthcare facility.

  • Train facility-management customers and MTF staff on the DMLSS-FM Customer Support Work Request system where implemented, and provide system overviews to facility-management and medical-logistics personnel when requested.
  • Ensure continuous DMLSS-FM implementation except when interrupted by utility or IT issues outside the specialist’s control.
  • Submit a monthly assessment report to the FM and AOR Manager and other workload and performance reports as required.
  • Travel as needed to complete room inventories and support remote locations served by the respective DMLSS servers.
