About The Position

The Data Scientist uses complex, large-scale data analysis to identify business trends and problems in passport operations, then designs and builds data models, databases, and dashboards to address them. The role is onsite in Washington, DC.

The position requires U.S. citizenship and an active SECRET security clearance. Candidates must have at least three years of data science or advanced analytics experience and proficiency in Python or R and SQL. A bachelor’s degree or seven years of equivalent experience is required. Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau is preferred. The successful candidate can explain technical findings to non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship.
• Maintain an active SECRET security clearance.
• At least 3 years of data science or advanced analytics experience.
• Proficiency in Python or R, and SQL.
• Ability to explain technical findings to non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor's degree or 7 years of equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Identify business trends and operational problems through complex big-data analysis.
• Interpret results from multiple data sources using methods ranging from data aggregation and statistical analysis to complex data mining.
• Design, develop, and implement high-value analytical solutions.
• Prepare data, implement data models, and develop databases that support analytical solutions.
• Build dashboards and present findings and recommendations to government stakeholders.
