About The Position
We are seeking a hands-on Server Support Engineer with experience working on enterprise hardware within data center or customer environments. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining rack-mounted server infrastructure while ensuring high availability and customer satisfaction. The position is located in McCarran, Nevada, and has a duration of 3+ months.
Requirements
- At least 3 years supporting enterprise servers or data center infrastructure.
- Experience replacing hardware components such as CPUs, memory, storage, power supplies, RAID controllers, motherboards, and NICs.
- Strong server troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with rack-mounted server environments.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
- Experience using remote server management tools such as iDRAC or similar platforms.
Nice To Haves
- Dell server experience.
- Data center operations background.
- Hardware certifications.
- Exposure to GPU-based server environments.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve server hardware issues.
- Install, configure, and replace server components.
- Perform rack and stack activities within data centers.
- Troubleshoot storage, networking, and server hardware failures.
- Perform firmware and BIOS upgrades.
- Support hardware maintenance and preventive servicing.
- Document troubleshooting activities and resolutions.
- Work directly with customers and technical teams during service events.
