About The Position

EOS IT Solutions is seeking a dedicated technician to join its infrastructure engineering team. The role focuses on the physical repair and maintenance of data center hardware, including servers, switches, routers, and related components. The technician supports reliable operations through hardware repairs, maintenance, inventory management, physical-layer troubleshooting, and new equipment installations, while coordinating with technical teams to minimize downtime.

Requirements

• Technical diploma or certification in electronics, computer hardware, or a related field.
• Proven experience repairing and maintaining IT and network hardware in a data center environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, and Arista hardware, and x86 servers is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and replace defective data center hardware components, including power supplies, fans, and network cards.
• Manage hardware components through installation, troubleshooting, decommissioning, and recycling.
• Conduct physical inspections and routine maintenance of data center equipment.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and hardware components to support repairs and upgrades.
• Coordinate hardware replacement activities with technical teams to minimize downtime.
• Document repairs, maintain maintenance logs, and update system configurations as needed.
• Perform basic physical-layer troubleshooting, including cable and port testing.
• Support new hardware installations and physical setup of network and server infrastructure.
• Participate in emergency response teams addressing urgent hardware issues.
