Data & BI Solution Architect (f/m/d)

We are seeking a Data & BI Solution Architect for our Hamburg office. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and building Business Intelligence systems, applying enterprise data management practices, and identifying patterns and trends through the use of appropriate tools. They will also be responsible for maintaining and enforcing standards for Data & Business Intelligence solution architecture and keeping Aquila Data Architecture Models up to date. Qualifications include a degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable degree, several years of experience in data modelling, ETL processes, and database technologies, and expertise in Microsoft Azure with all related data services. Knowledge of big data tools, basic experience in Machine Learning, and general knowledge in GDPR and regulatory requirements in the finance sector are desirable. Fluent English, German, or Spanish is considered a plus.

• Design and build Business Intelligence systems aimed at delivering key insights in an effective, automated, and reliable way
• Apply enterprise data management practices and principles and identify patterns, trends, and insight through use of the appropriate tools
• Ensure that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices of Data & Business Intelligence are applied correctly
• Apply different data modelling concepts and practices to develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support insight delivery
• Maintaining and enforcing the standards for Data & Business Intelligence solution architecture as well as analysing the different workflows
• Working alongside other teams to keep Aquila Data Architecture Models up to date

• Several years of experience in data modelling, ETL processes and database technologies
• Experience in Data Virtualization and in Data Integration (Integration Platform and Data Catalogue)
• Knowledge about data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management
• Understanding of cloud architectures and strategies
• Experience in Query language SQL and programming language Python as well as relational SQL and NoSQL databases
• High Level Expertise in Microsoft Azure with all related data services (like SQL Databases, Databricks, Cloud Storages (like Blob), Cloud Datawarehouse)
• Experience in data modelling, ETL processes and database technologies, process automation
• Knowing the MS Office 365 Environment well with Apps like Excel, PowerBI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint Online)
• Knowledge about big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
• Basic experience in Machine Learning
• General knowledge in GDPR and regulatory requirements in the finance sector is desirable
• Fluent in English, German or Spanish is considered as a plus
