About The Position

The Dark Meat Debone Tech performs dark meat debone production work on a rotation basis, including hanger, trimmer, styler, bone trimmer, box liner, scale operator, CVP operator, labeler, and stacker duties. The role participates as a team member in developing, communicating, and implementing team concepts, programs, and policies; coordinates work with team members; attends appropriate team meetings; and supports team cohesion and shared organizational goals.

The employee is expected to be familiar with Simmons’ established operating systems, including quality, security, office environment, company policies, and LEAN, and to understand how their work supports these systems. They are responsible for maintaining familiarity with the systems, considering the impact of their actions, and communicating concerns and improvement ideas. Other duties may be assigned in support of business objectives.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of a food processing facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform dark meat department production positions on a rotation basis, including hanger, trimmer, styler, bone trimmer, box liner, scale operator, CVP operator, labeler, and stacker.
• Participate in the ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies.
• Coordinate work with team members to ensure best practices.
• Attend appropriate team meetings and contribute to team cohesion and organizational goals.
• Identify areas lacking team cohesion, bring them to the attention of the team leader, and work supportively with the team to resolve issues.
• Maintain familiarity with Simmons’ operating systems and support them through work practices and communication of concerns and improvement ideas.
• Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
