About The Position

As a Dairy Clerk at Tony's Fresh Market, you are responsible for delivering remarkable customer service through exceptional product knowledge, efficient service, and a friendly attitude. The role includes a variety of retail tasks related to products, customer service, and merchandising. The Dairy/Frozen department includes cold and frozen items, so the position requires working in and adapting to a cold environment. The work environment is typical of a retail store, with noise levels ranging from quiet to loud and minimal sitting.

Requirements

Maintain the highest level of customer service at all times.
Adapt to a changing, high-volume retail environment while working in a cross-functional team.
Take initiative when problems arise and adapt flexibly to a variety of situations.
Demonstrate advanced attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Have excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills for working with peers and senior management across functions.
Be able to multitask and demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
Be able to lift and carry 0–50 lbs.
Regularly stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store.
Adapt to and be comfortable working in a cold environment.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and build rapport.
Maintain a friendly, outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
Respond effectively to customer questions.
Stock products and maintain displays according to merchandising standards.
Perform basic department cleaning and upkeep.
Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products.
Listen for cashier pages requiring price checks for the Dairy/Frozen department and respond to support customer service.
Use a baler if required, provided the employee is at least 18 years old and has proper training.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
