About The Position

This is a finance position responsible for performing cycle counts and maintaining records of the quantity, type, and value of stocked materials, equipment, merchandise, and supplies, as well as items to be returned. The Cycle Counter researches causes of count discrepancies, performs quality checks, and supports the product recall process. The position also serves as a Will-call Clerk on scheduled Saturdays.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates.
Exemplary listening skills to facilitate effective two-way communication.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals across units of measure.
Solid problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

Maintain the integrity of in-house physical inventory counts through cycle counting and other assigned duties.
Cycle count the warehouse at least four times per year, including all pick and reserve slots, to identify discrepancies and product or packaging integrity issues.
Perform quality checks on date-sensitive, slow-moving, and obsolete items in coordination with Merchandising; perform the recoup function.
Research causes of weight variances, receiving, put-away, and letdown issues, and damaged products in slots resulting from warehouse moves.
Proactively check First-in First-out (FIFO) items to ensure proper rotation.
Confirm reserves are properly recorded and verify the count of each reserve pallet.
Verify the put-away and transfer processes performed by day and night personnel.
Initiate and document product transfers from the cooler to the freezer.
Review standard management reports and research causes of inventory shrink.
Coordinate will-call orders when scheduled.
