Summer 2027 Cyber Security Internship
About The Position
Tradeweb is seeking a Summer 2027 Cyber Security Intern to gain practical, hands-on experience through classroom-style learning and project-based work involving the firm’s products and services. The intern will receive guidance from employees across the organization, work with a team of security professionals, and build professional relationships through interactive outings and projects. The intern will work under the supervision of the Director of Information Security, whose responsibilities include security for Tradeweb’s on-premises and cloud infrastructure. The role focuses on security automation, integrations, documentation, scripting, and supporting detection and response activities. Interns will also have opportunities to explore applications of AI and emerging technologies in the business.
Requirements
- Strong scripting skills, such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or JavaScript.
- Knowledge of SOAR platforms and functionalities.
- Basic knowledge of network and systems control.
- Excellent technical documentation skills.
- Strong critical thinking, deductive reasoning, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop automation playbooks and create practical user experiences for them.
- Develop integrations with third-party services and APIs.
- Write documentation related to automation workflows.
- Build custom scripts for ad hoc use cases.
- Work with security team members to develop use cases for detection and response activities.
- Support bug fixes for existing playbooks and scripts.
- Explore how AI and emerging technologies can be applied within the business area.
