About The Position

The Summer Key Technology & Services: Cyber/Information Security Track Internship is a 10.5-week program designed to provide interns with hands-on experience in innovative security teams within KeyBank's Technology and Services organization. Interns will work alongside experts, gain competitive skills, and build valuable networks. The internship focuses on areas such as Corporate Information Security (CIS), which includes teams like Cyber Defense Center, Identity & Access Management, Cybersecurity Detection & Automation, Information Security Governance and Data Protection, and Security Architecture, Engineering, and Platform Operations. The program aims to equip participants with practical knowledge and opportunities for professional growth.

Requirements

• Must have completed at least three years toward a four-year, undergraduate degree program with focused coursework in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Data Science, Intelligence Studies, Business, Criminal Justice, Information Systems, IT Management, Software Engineering, Web Development, Computer Programming, Network Engineering, System Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related majors.
• Anticipated graduation of May 2028 or December 2027.
• Outstanding academic achievement (minimum undergraduate 3.0 GPA).
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork from past work experience and/or extracurricular activities.
• Solid analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Intellectual curiosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity and information technology concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication.
• Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with industry leading software (examples include: Tableau, ServiceNow, Visual Studio, Jira, Automation Anywhere, Jenkins, PowerShell, HTML, C#, Python, R, SQL, JavaScript, SOAR, SIEM, Proxy, Confluence, XDR, Oracle, Actimize, GCP, SAS).

Responsibilities

• Work alongside KeyBank’s experts within Key Technology & Services (KTS).
• Gain hands-on experience with innovative security teams.
• Analyze customer transaction and profile data to identify suspicious activity and report to appropriate law enforcement agencies.
• Utilize industry-leading software for security analysis and operations.

• Hourly rate of $25 per hour.
• $2,000.00 Summer Internship Sign-on Bonus.
