About The Position

The Cutter Operator is responsible for operating robots, cutters, and associated equipment to cut blends into blend boxes accurately and on time. The operator sets the robot discharge rate, cutter belt speed, and diverter configurations at the plant floor control panel to optimize settings for each grade. The role also involves changing robot and cutter blades and vibrator pads, clearing clogged diverters, removing knots from rolls and belts, and performing routine servicing of cutters and robots. The position is located at 2650 Southport Road, Spartanburg, SC 29302, and works from midnight to 8:00 a.m. Candidates will be asked to take a mechanical aptitude assessment during the interview. Requirements

Be capable of performing tasks that may include working at heights and in confined spaces.

Unchoke diverters and remove knots from rolls and belts.
Perform routine servicing procedures for cutters and robots.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Recommend safety improvements.
Recommend production improvements.
Comply with safety and management programs.
Actively participate in work team development.
Keep the workplace clean and orderly.
Provide on-the-job training to other employees as assigned by the supervisor.
