About The Position

ReVive Fibers is hiring a third-shift Press Operator at its Camp Croft facility in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The position operates a press to produce finished bales and includes inspecting, weighing, and labeling bales; maintaining the press and work area; and safely using a lift truck and bale dolly. Work takes place in a non-climate-controlled warehouse. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Starting pay is $15.00, paid weekly. Reliable attendance is a must.

Able to understand directions and communicate with others.
Meet the educational and mechanical requirements established by Leigh Fibers, Inc.
Meet minimum pre-employment testing standards.
Possess an on-site-issued lift truck operator license.
Reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

Operate a lift truck to remove bales from the holding area as needed.
Visually inspect finished bales for quality variances, including color, threads, and foreign material, and report changes to the lead operator.
Weigh and properly label finished bales.
Maintain bale wraps used to remove finished bales.
Use compressed air to clean the press as needed.
Maintain continuous housekeeping standards.
Wear required personal protective equipment and perform all tasks safely.
Keep the lift truck and wheels clean.
Perform visual and operational checks of lift trucks before operation.
Perform other job-related tasks as directed by the production operator or production lead operator.
Follow all lockout/tagout procedures.
Report unsafe acts or conditions to the production lead operator.
Keep body parts clear of pinch points.
Operate a bale dolly and change out its battery.
Clean the press condenser.
