About The Position

Flexport is hiring a Customs Specialist to join its Customs team and help move goods across international borders. The role works with clients, shippers, logistics partners, and government agencies to support customs compliance and clearance. It uses Flexport technology to automate and optimize processes, manage clearance documents and data, and provide timely information to clients. The specialist will also participate in client business reviews and operational calls, follow and help improve standard operating procedures, and build customs expertise through mentorship and continuous learning.

Requirements

• Recently earned a bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• A compliance-first mindset and commitment to integrity and regulatory adherence.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to new technology, and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong organization skills, including prioritizing and managing a large volume of tasks with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and willingness to seek and welcome feedback.

Responsibilities

• Navigate customs regulations to help ensure goods comply with international laws.
• Manage documents and data required for customs clearance to CBP.
• Collaborate with international clients and logistics partners, providing timely information and support.
• Use Flexport technology to optimize customs processes and provide data to clients.
