About The Position

Flexport is seeking a Customs Specialist to join its Customs team and help move goods across international borders. The role involves working with clients, shippers, logistics partners, and government agencies to support customs clearance, ensure compliance with international laws, and keep supply chains moving. The specialist will use Flexport technology to optimize customs processes and provide data to clients, while developing expertise in customs regulations and gaining exposure to client strategy. The role also includes following and improving standard operating procedures in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Recently earned a bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Compliance-first mindset and commitment to integrity and regulatory adherence.
• Problem-solving ability and close attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt to new technology, and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage a large volume of tasks with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to seek and welcome feedback.

Responsibilities

• Navigate customs regulations to ensure goods comply with international laws.
• Manage the documents and data needed for customs clearance to CBP.
• Collaborate with international clients and logistics partners, providing timely information and support.
• Use Flexport technology to optimize customs processes and provide data to clients.
• Participate in client business reviews and operational calls.
• Follow and help improve standard operating procedures.
