About The Position

As a Customs Specialist, you will join Flexport’s core Customs team and help move goods across international borders. You will work with clients, shippers, logistics partners, and government agencies to clear goods, using Flexport technology to automate and improve customs processes. The role offers exposure to customs regulations, client relationships, operational strategy, and continuous process improvement, with learning opportunities to support career development in the customs field.

Requirements

• Recently earned a bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Maintain a compliance-first mindset and high standards of integrity and regulatory adherence.
• Demonstrate problem-solving ability and close attention to detail.
• Adapt to a fast-paced environment, new technology, and tight deadlines.
• Be highly organized and able to prioritize and manage a large volume of tasks with minimal supervision.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and welcome feedback.

Responsibilities

• Navigate customs regulations to ensure goods comply with international laws.
• Manage the documents and data needed for customs clearance to CBP.
• Collaborate with international clients and logistics partners, providing timely information and support.
• Use Flexport technology to optimize customs processes and provide data to clients.
• Participate in client business reviews and operational calls.
• Follow and help improve standard operating procedures.
