About The Position

This role is responsible for providing technical support and service to customers regarding automated equipment. The engineer will manage the total equipment installation process at customer sites, including troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control systems, and networks. They will also be responsible for customer training on equipment operation, applications, software, and part programming. Regular travel within assigned territories is required.

Requirements

  • Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control systems, and networks.
  • Ability to precisely follow layout drawings and blueprints.
  • Ability to communicate in the English language.
  • Excellent customer relations and follow through.
  • Ability to manage the total equipment installation process at customer site.
  • Operation, applications, software, and part programming capabilities.
  • Use of Amada applications software.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to analyze and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, optical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to use hand tools, Volt/Ohm meter and Oscilloscope.
  • Working knowledge of computers and Windows OS.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Accountable and responsible to service and support a customer through all aspects of the customer’s ownership of the machine.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to communicate in the Spanish language.
  • A 4 yr degree in Electronics or a minimum of a 2 yr degree with related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control systems, and networks.

  • Complete daily status (service) reports and weekly expense reports.
  • Communicate effectively in English with customers.
  • Manage the total equipment installation process at customer sites.
  • Operate, program, and train customers on equipment software and applications.
  • Use Amada applications software for line control and part programming.
  • Travel regularly within assigned territories.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
