About The Position

The Customer Relations Associate performs a range of customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and warmly, handling merchandise carefully, and providing information and directions. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by assisting customers with buying decisions, evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. The associate also handles merchandise returns and related paperwork, supports incentive and reward programs, sells applicable hunting and fishing licenses, and completes other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.

Responsibilities

• Secure firearms brought into the store with trigger locks.
• Check in vendor representatives, complete visitor log information, and control visitor badges.
• Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Greet customers as they enter the store in a friendly and outgoing manner.
• Handle merchandise returns and complete refund or exchange paperwork.
• Sort returns by category and return them to the proper area.
• Sell appropriate hunting and fishing licenses.
• Handle and administer incentive and reward programs.
• Remain knowledgeable about products and aware of advertised sales.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Assist customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and making product recommendations.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
