About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring seasonal team members for Sales, Cashier, Stock, and/or Fulfillment roles at Dulles Town Crossing. Team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment to make customers’ experiences quick, easy, and enjoyable while helping them find great deals. Applicants can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Sales and Cashier team members support fitting room experiences, encourage participation in initiatives such as Nordstrom Rewards, maintain organized stockrooms and accurate merchandise inventory, keep the sales floor ready through re-merchandising and straightening, assist with transactions, use store technologies, and resolve customer concerns. Stock Support and Fulfillment team members receive and process freight, deliver merchandise to selling departments, fulfill and ship customer orders according to quality standards, use inventory management systems, maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms, and provide general store support, including preparing for special events, organizing backrooms, completing markdowns, and relocating fixtures. The position offers $18.65–$19.40 per hour. Requirements

For Stock Support or Fulfillment roles, ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

For Sales and Cashier roles, create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting customers, taking them to fitting rooms, and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Motivate and inspire others to adopt initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Keep stockrooms organized and complete inventory processes, ensuring merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
Help keep the sales floor runway ready through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers with a variety of transactions in a seamless and friendly manner.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Defuse customer situations and provide timely, effective resolutions.
For Stock Support and Fulfillment roles, receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
