About The Position

Seasonal Nordstrom Rack team member role in a fast-paced, high-energy retail environment. Team members collaborate to create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere, provide customers with a quick and easy experience, and keep the store clean and clutter-free. Roles may be available in Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment, with the specific area of interest discussed during the interview. Employees may occasionally work in different store areas to maintain clean sales floors and stockrooms and help customers find merchandise. Responsibilities vary by department and include supporting sales-floor merchandising, cashiering and customer assistance, fitting-room operations, stockroom organization, freight and merchandise processing, and fulfillment and shipping of customer orders. The role requires flexibility to meet business needs and the ability to perform the stated physical activities. The listed pay range is $15.60–$16.20 per hour, with offers dependent on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.

Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles: ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Help keep the sales floor runway-ready by re-merchandising, sizing, filling in, and straightening merchandise throughout the day.
Assist customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms; operate a point-of-sale system, bag merchandise, and provide a friendly experience.
Support fitting-room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory-management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory-control processes.
Help maintain clean, organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating fixtures.
