About The Position

Seasonal Nordstrom Rack team member role in a fast-paced, high-energy retail environment. Team members collaborate to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, provide customers with a quick and easy experience, and keep the store clean and clutter-free. Depending on the role and business needs, work may span Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment, and team members may occasionally work in different areas of the store.

Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
Ability to remain in continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting them above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
Stock and Fulfillment roles: frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the salesfloor runway-ready by re-merchandising, straightening, sizing, and replenishing merchandise throughout the day.
Assist customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms; operate the point-of-sale system, bag items, handle bulky merchandise, and provide friendly service.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor.
Sort and return clothing to maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver new arrivals to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and in accordance with quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to packing and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
