About The Position

Customer Service Technicians represent Kinetic, a business unit of Uniti, and provide technical expertise and customer support for residential and business communications services. The role installs and repairs telephone, internet, and video services, and helps customers identify products and services that meet their communications needs. Technicians work with different technologies and network designs in both indoor and outdoor environments, including buried and aerial plant. The position involves pole climbing, ladder use, operating and maintaining a company service vehicle, and completing required safety training and following applicable safety standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Basic technology and math skills.
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record, maintained throughout employment.
Ability to distinguish colors in color-coded cable.
Ability to use equipment with a maximum load capacity of 275 pounds.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work aloft.
Ability to successfully complete required safety training.
Ability to work assigned schedules and extended hours, including day, evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
Ability to respond to after-hours callouts.

Nice To Haves

Customer service or sales experience.
Certifications or training directly related to the position.
Two-year technical degree in computers or electronics, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities
