About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring seasonal team members for Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment roles at the 31st & 6th location. Team members work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate to create a welcoming customer atmosphere, support quick and easy shopping experiences, and help keep the store and stockrooms clean and organized. Employees may work in different areas of the store as business needs require. Sales and Customer Service duties include maintaining and replenishing the sales floor, helping customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, operating point-of-sale systems, supporting fitting rooms, returning merchandise to the sales floor, organizing stockrooms, ticketing merchandise, using store technologies, following operational and asset protection standards, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment duties include receiving and processing freight, delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders, using inventory management systems, maintaining clean and organized floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as event setup, markdowns, backroom organization, and moving fixtures. The role requires continuous movement and frequent handling and lifting of merchandise. The hourly pay range is $18.45–$19.20, depending on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Maintain sales floors by re-merchandising, straightening, sizing, and replenishing merchandise throughout the day.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions; operate point-of-sale systems and provide a friendly checkout experience.
Support fitting rooms by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
Keep customer areas clean and clutter-free by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in store technologies and follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver new arrivals to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to packing and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments according to inventory control processes.
Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
