About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring seasonal team members for multiple roles in Sales, Cashier, Stock, and/or Fulfillment. Team members help make the customer experience quick, easy, and enjoyable while helping customers find great deals. Applicants can discuss their preferred role during the interview process.

Sales and Cashier team members support fitting rooms, encourage participation in the Nordstrom Rewards program, organize stockrooms, complete inventory processes, keep the sales floor ready through merchandising and straightening, assist with transactions, use store technologies, and resolve customer concerns.

Stock Support and Fulfillment team members receive and process freight, deliver merchandise to selling departments, fulfill and ship customer orders to quality standards, use inventory management systems, maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms, and provide general store support such as setting up events, organizing backrooms, markdowns, and relocating fixtures.

Requirements

• Clear and effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Accountability, initiative, and a high level of ownership.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• For Stock Support or Fulfillment roles, the ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Create a smooth fitting-room experience by greeting customers, escorting them to fitting rooms, and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
• Motivate and inspire others to adopt initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
• Keep stockrooms organized and complete inventory processes, ensuring merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
• Keep the sales floor runway-ready through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
• Assist customers with transactions in a seamless and friendly manner.
• Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
• Resolve customer situations in a timely and effective manner.
• Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
• Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner while following quality standards.
• Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
• Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
• Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
• Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, processing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
