About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring seasonal team members for Sales, Cashier, Stock, and/or Fulfillment roles at Bergen Town Center Rack. Team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment to make the customer experience quick, easy, and enjoyable while helping customers find deals. Applicants can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Sales and Cashier team members support fitting rooms, promote initiatives such as Nordstrom Rewards, organize stockrooms and inventory, keep the sales floor ready through merchandising and straightening, assist with transactions, use store technologies, and resolve customer concerns. Stock Support and Fulfillment team members receive and process freight, deliver merchandise to selling departments, fulfill and ship customer orders to established quality standards, use inventory management systems, maintain clean and organized sales floors and stockrooms, and provide general store support. This is a seasonal position. The listed pay range is $20.00–$20.80 per hour, with offers dependent on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.

Requirements

For Stock Support or Fulfillment roles, ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

For Sales and Cashier roles, create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting customers, taking them to fitting rooms, and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Motivate and inspire others to adopt initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Keep stockrooms organized and complete inventory processes, ensuring merchandise is checked in and ticketed accurately.
Work with the team to keep the sales floor ready through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers with transactions in a seamless and friendly manner.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Defuse customer situations and provide timely, effective resolutions.
For Stock Support and Fulfillment roles, receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, processing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
