About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring seasonal team members for its Fulfillment department. Team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating to provide a welcoming atmosphere and a quick, easy customer experience while keeping the store clean and clutter-free. Employees may work in different areas of the store as business needs require. Depending on the role, responsibilities include supporting sales and customer service by maintaining and replenishing the salesfloor, assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, providing fitting-room support, organizing merchandise and stockrooms, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock support and fulfillment work includes receiving and processing freight, delivering merchandise to departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders, using inventory systems, and helping with general store support.

Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching, and use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching overhead and lifting items regularly up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock Support and Fulfillment roles, ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Maintain a salesfloor that is ready for customers by re-merchandising, straightening, sizing, and replenishing merchandise.
Assist customers with cashiering and transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, including operating a point-of-sale system and bagging merchandise.
Provide fitting-room assistance, greet customers, and sort and return clothing to the salesfloor.
Keep customer areas clean and clutter-free and organize stockrooms.
Ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and prepare orders for shipment according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Support the store by setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating fixtures.
