About The Position

Seasonal position at Nordstrom Rack’s Bergen Town Center with multiple roles available in Sales, Cashier, Stock, and Fulfillment. Team members help create a quick, easy, and enjoyable customer experience in a fast-paced, high-energy retail environment. Applicants may discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Sales and Cashier team members support fitting rooms, promote initiatives such as Nordstrom Rewards, keep stockrooms and the sales floor organized, assist with customer transactions, use store technologies, and resolve customer concerns. Stock Support and Fulfillment team members receive and move merchandise, fulfill and ship customer orders, use inventory systems to process and research shipments, maintain clean and organized sales floors and stockrooms, and provide general store support. The role requires a flexible schedule based on business needs. The stated pay range is $20.00–$20.80 per hour, with offers dependent on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Requirements

For Stock Support or Fulfillment roles, ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting customers, directing them to fitting rooms, and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Motivate and inspire others to adopt initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Keep stockrooms organized and complete inventory processes, ensuring merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Work with the team to keep the sales floor ready through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers with transactions in a seamless and friendly manner.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Defuse customer situations and provide timely, effective resolutions.
Receive, unload, unpack, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly while following quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
