About The Position

Seasonal Retail Fulfillment team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy retail environment, collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and a quick, easy customer experience. Team members help maintain clean, organized sales floors and stockrooms and may work in different store areas based on business needs. Roles are available in Seasonal Fulfillment, with specific interests discussed during the interview process. Depending on the assignment, team members support sales and customer service by keeping the sales floor ready through merchandising and straightening, assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, supporting fitting rooms, returning merchandise to the floor, organizing stockrooms, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment duties include receiving and processing freight, fulfilling and shipping customer orders, using inventory systems, and providing general store support. The work involves continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching, and regular use of hands. Employees handle bulky items, regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Stock and Fulfillment employees frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The stated hourly pay range is $16.60–$17.30, with offers dependent on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.

Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor ready through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms using point-of-sale systems; bag items and handle bulky, sometimes heavy merchandise.
Support fitting rooms by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Sort and return clothing to maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to packing and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
