About The Position

Ampco Pumps is a fast-growing manufacturer of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps used in the food and dairy industries, desalination, and various chemical and industrial applications. The company is seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to assist internal staff and customers by processing orders, compiling quotations, and handling customer service-related inquiries. This self-motivated role works in a fast-paced environment and uses product knowledge to address customer needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of manufacturing customer service experience.
• Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
• Strong follow-up and organization skills, with attention to detail.
• Team-oriented, with the ability to effectively interact with co-workers and internal and external customers.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Use product knowledge to solve customers’ needs.
• Guide and process customer orders and inquiries in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with customers via phone and email.
• Solve customer problems and find the best possible solutions.
• Provide knowledgeable answers to questions about products, pricing, and availability.
• Respond to shipping inquiries and answer order status questions in a timely manner.
• Perform data entry, including preparing quotes and entering orders into the ERP.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
