About The Position

Animal Hospital of Shawnee Hills is hiring a full-time Customer Service Representative to serve as the first friendly point of contact for clients. The role helps create a welcoming experience from the first phone call through checkout, supports an organized appointment schedule, maintains a calm and friendly lobby, and helps pet parents feel informed and confident. It also allows the medical team to focus on patients by ensuring front-of-house needs are handled.

The practice has cared for pets in Powell and the Shawnee Hills area since 2012. It is AAHA accredited and a certified Cat Friendly Practice, with Fear Free Certified team members. Its services include preventive and wellness care, surgery, hospitalization, and end-of-life care.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in a veterinary setting.
• Availability for 10-hour day shifts, including rotating weekends.
• Comfort using computers, phone systems, and scheduling or practice-management software.

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and provide a friendly first point of contact by phone and in person.
• Help keep the appointment schedule organized and running on time.
• Maintain a calm, friendly lobby, including during busy periods with frequent phone calls.
• Help pet parents feel informed and confident, especially during difficult situations.
• Handle front-of-house needs so the medical team can focus on patient care.
