About The Position

The Customer Service Representative provides customer service to human and pet guests at Paws Pet Resort. As a first point of contact, the representative builds relationships and provides welcoming, professional service in a fast-paced pet-care facility. The role handles lobby operations, guest communications, reservations, scheduling, records, data entry, and facility cleanliness. It also involves safely handling and escorting pets and communicating with management and other team members.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
At least 1 year of professional animal experience.
Love of animals and a professional manner.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds or more.
Ability to stand and walk for eight hours a day.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and use a computer system.
Ability to handle dogs on leashes and work around disinfectant and sanitation chemicals, animal dander, and animal excretions.
Ability to correctly identify animal body language and behavior and follow safe handling procedures.

Responsibilities

Manage main lobby operations, including check-ins, check-outs, guest visits, and tours, and answer general questions.
Answer and handle calls professionally and take reservations over the phone.
Schedule services, maintain files, and perform data entry.
Maintain the cleanliness of the facility.
Welcome human and pet guests and provide excellent customer service during pet check-in and check-out.
Identify animal body language and behavior and follow safe handling procedures.
Escort pets to and from their rooms.
Work independently and as part of a team, and communicate with management and other team members.
