About The Position
U-Haul is hiring a friendly, motivated Customer Service Representative to help customers at its Phoenix center. The role combines customer service with equipment inspection and maintenance, rental dispatch and returns, and general lot operations. Team members use current technology to manage rentals and inventory and receive on-the-job education, including ongoing training through U-Haul University. U-Haul offers paid hands-on working interviews, a hiring bonus, and a certification completion bonus.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to move equipment weighing at least 50 pounds, with or without assistance.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers inside and outside the U-Haul center with products and services.
- Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
- Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
- Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels.
- Answer customer questions and explain products and services.
- Prepare rental invoices and accept returned rental equipment.
- Install hitches and trailer wiring.
- Fill propane; certification is offered through U-Haul after employment.
- Drive a forklift; certification is offered through U-Haul after employment.
- Participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
