About The Position

U-Haul is seeking a friendly, motivated Customer Service / Lot Attendant to help customers with U-Haul products and services while inspecting and maintaining rental equipment. The role works as part of a supportive team, assists customers inside and outside the U-Haul center, and uses current technology to dispatch and return equipment. On-the-job education is provided, including ongoing training through U-Haul University. U-Haul offers paid hands-on working interviews, a $100 hiring bonus, and a $300 cash bonus upon completion of U-Haul Equipment Inspection and Verification through the 1-2-3 Punch Certification Program at retail stores. The position is located at 8207 Terminal Rd, Lorton, Virginia 22079. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. A valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and a high school diploma or equivalent are required. The work involves moderate risks and may require protective gear. Physical activity includes remaining stationary for extended periods, moving indoors and outdoors, reaching at different heights, and moving equipment weighing at least 50 pounds, with or without assistance. Requirements

Valid driver’s license.
Ability to maintain a good driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.
Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels.
Answer questions and educate customers about products and services.
Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
Install hitches and trailer wiring.
Fill propane; U-Haul certification is offered upon employment.
Drive a forklift; U-Haul certification is offered upon employment.
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
Perform other duties as assigned.
