About The Position

K&G Fashion Superstore is hiring a part-time Customer Service Representative to support the customer experience in its stores. The role involves assisting customers with purchases, returns, exchanges, store credits, and discounted transactions while following standard operating procedures and securely handling cash and other negotiable documents. Representatives also use suggestive selling techniques, respond to customer inquiries, help replenish merchandise and maintain store and fitting-room areas, and stay informed about products, point-of-sale instructions, promotions, and advertisements.

Requirements

• Customer-service orientation and ability to deliver a positive customer experience.
• Desire to learn and adapt to new programs.
• Ability to work well and consult with associates at all levels and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the work shift; frequently bend, squat, and twist; lift up to 50 pounds; climb a ladder to reach merchandise or supplies; and distinguish fabric patterns and colors.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer purchases, returns, exchanges, store credits, and discounted transactions according to standard operating procedures.
• Properly secure cash and other negotiable documents.
• Use suggestive selling techniques when assisting customers and respond to customer inquiries and needs.
• Assist with merchandise replenishment, store layout, recovery, and general housekeeping.
• Monitor and maintain floor stock and fitting-room areas.
• Maintain awareness of product knowledge, point-of-sale instructions, merchandise promotions, and advertisements.
