About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a friendly, motivated Customer Service Representative to work as part of a supportive team and provide customer service at a U-Haul center. The role assists customers with U-Haul products and services, dispatches and returns equipment using current technology, and includes inspecting and maintaining equipment. On-the-job education is offered, including ongoing training through U-Haul University and certification opportunities for propane filling and forklift operation. The posting describes paid working interviews, a $100 hiring bonus, and a $300 cash bonus upon completion of U-Haul Equipment Inspection and Verification through the 1-2-3 Punch Certification Program at retail stores. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Legally authorized to work in the United States and not require employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.
Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels.
Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services.
Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
Install hitches and trailer wiring.
Fill propane; certification is offered through U-Haul upon employment.
Drive a forklift; certification is offered through U-Haul upon employment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
